Membership
Background
ACT Ice Skating Association is the peak body for ice skating, specifically figure skating, in the ACT. It is run entirely by volunteers on the committee and for competitions, test sessions and other events. All fees (membership, competition and test) are kept as low as possible, to cover compulsory affiliation, skater registration and test caps with Ice Skating Australia Limited as well as administrative costs such as ice hire, website, safe computer equipment storage, printing, stationery and other necessities to successfully run. All judges and officials for tests and competitions are also volunteers and give freely of their time for no payment. The costs of accommodation and travel for interstate officials for competitions are fully covered by ACTISA.
From 2022, ACTISA moved to a flat fee structure, for all categories. This year has seen a modest rise of $5 for each member to $50 as Ice Skating Australia has also increased its affiliation and individual registration fees for ACTISA. While we strongly encourage parents/guardians of skaters to join the Association to support us with member numbers and financially, for 2025, we have introduced an optional complimentary Associate membership for parents/guardian of members under the age of 18 years in order to allow them to have voting rights in the Association’s Annual General Meeting. The success or otherwise of this option will be reviewed at the end of 2025. For details on this, please go to the membership form via the link below. EFT details are also on the form. Note that under the current constitution, only 2024 financial member are able to vote in the 2025 AGM. It is hoped that this can be amended before the AGM to allow new members to also vote.
Aussie Skate
Please pay NEW and renewing Aussie Skate Registrations directly with ISA using the link below FIRST.
To begin the registration process click the ‘registrations’ button to the right of your screen. This will bring up a selection page, from here please select ‘Aussie Skate membership: ACT’. You will then be prompted to login or create an account, once you have signed in, please follow the prompts to complete your membership.
For those who were Aussie Skate members from 2024 and earlier but did NOT register with ISA at the time, email aussie.skate@isa.org.au with your details and for instructions on how to renew rather than join up for the first time. This way you will not pay the new member price.
Anyone who did register with ISA last year should have received an email. If you did not, then make contact at aussie.skate@isa.org.au.
Note that Aussie Skate fees are payable to ISA every year regardless of when you joined.
Once you have registered with Aussie Skate, please use the form below to register with ACTISA and use the Aussie Skate registration field. This will be either ‘Aussie Skate NEW’ or ‘Aussie Skate Renewing’.
