Long post but very important so please take the time to read.

Firstly, thank you to all the members who have joined or renewed for 2025. Your support for ACTISA is very important and it is heartening to see parents and guardians of our junior skaters taking advantage of the complementary membership offer in order to vote on behalf of their child.

Secondly, please save the date, Saturday 10th May in the afternoon to attend the ACTISA Extraordinary General Meeting, Annual General Meeting and General Meeting. Details of the exact times and place will be sent in an email to all current members.

The EGM is critical as several changes to the Constitution are required to enable some new processes and streamlining. All current members 18 years and over are eligible to vote at this meeting. The proposed changes to the Constitution will be emailed to those members. One of the important changes is to expand those eligible to vote at the AGM which if passed, would be effective immediately.

At the AGM reports will be presented from the President, the delegates to ISA as well a status of the accounts. Following these reports, elections will be held to fill all the Council positions. Please consider nominating for a position. Some elected positions are restricted to those who have been on the committee for a certain period however, this can be managed by the Council as per the Constitution after the AGM.

Last will be the GM, where agenda items can be added by members by notifying the President. This could be a question and answer session or a presentation of a particular aspect of ACTISA/ice skating.

I will also post brief descriptions and responsibilities of all the Council positions and associated duties to this group.
