The ACT Ice Skating Association (ACTISA) is responsible for all aspects of figure skating in the ACT – figure skating, pair skating, ice dancing & synchronised skating. Please note that ACTISA does not own or manage the ice rink nor is it responsible for running the lesson and practice sessions.
The committee is made up entirely of volunteers and performs a variety of tasks listed in detail below. Please note that you do not need to be a committee member to help out with many of these tasks, and volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.
- Organising competitions including:

This is a huge task which involves:
- Preparing the technical announcements
- Purchasing ice time
- Purchasing trophies and medals
- Preparing and printing certificates
Processing all entries and fees
- Data entry of competitiors, program elements and officials
- Printing off all required paperwork and arranging judges folders
- Rostering personnel for music collection, catering, announcing, marshalling and runners
- Fundraising
- Programme design and printing
- Publicity
- Rostering the officials panels
- Physically bringing in from storage the tables, chairs, blankets and computer equipment
- Setting up the judging area with the above items
- Dismantling the judging area, pacing up all items and returning them to storage.
